The Iguazu waterfalls


Iguazu Falls are without doubt the most visited place in Misiones and one of the most impressive natural attractions in Argentina, and why not in South America ...


With the Nahuel Huapi National Park, Patagonia, it is one of the most visited tourist attractions.In the Guarani language, the term "Iguazú" means "many waters". It was discovered in 1541 by Alvar Nunez Cabeza de Vaca and established in 1984 in the world natural heritage site by UNESCO.

Iguazu National Park is located about 20 km. Puerto Iguazú in the north of the province, these accidents are common in Brazil and Argentina.

Iguazu River was born in the State of Paraná in Brazil, and after crossing the 1.200 km. on a plateau where it receives several tributaries, when a fault forming a crack in the interleaved layers of sandstone and basalt where the river flows.

From the Visitor Center, you can walk on trails or scenic train.
There are two basic reasons for the circuits: the way the top and bottom of the trail.
