Petra, Jordan

The giant red mountains and mausoleums of a race of major parties have nothing in common with modern civilization, and ask nothing from him to be appreciated at fair value - as one of the greatest wonders ever wrought by nature and humans.

Although much has been written about Petra, nothing prepares us for this incredible place. We must see to believe.

Petra, the wonder of the world, is without doubt Jordan's most precious treasure and greatest tourist attraction. This is a huge, unique city, carved just a wall of rock by the Nabataeans, an enterprising Arabs who settled here over 2,000 years ago, which is an important junction for the silk, spices and other trade routes that linked China, India and South Arabia, Egypt, Syria, Greece, and Rome.
